Alfa Romeo 4C is one of the most high-profile premieres at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013, as the brand returned to the coupe class again. As a power plant on a two-door, a 1.8-liter turbocharged engine is used. Its maximum power is 240 hp and peak torque is 350 Nm. It is noteworthy that 80% of the thrust is already available from 1,700 rpm.
The motor is aggregated with a six-band preselective robot for six gears, paired with which the coupe accelerates to hundreds in 4.5 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
Alfa Romeo 4C weighs only 895 kg. The Italians achieved this thanks to the use of a carbon fiber monocoque used at the base of the car, as well as a unique body made of high-strength composite. This decision even allowed the engineers to abandon the power steering.
Serial production of Alfa Romeo 4C has been established at the plant in Modena (Italy).
